EIC 12.3 Submission Process
Another open-call-for-submissions has come to an end! Thanks everyone who submitted their media to Experiments in Cinema v12.3. Now the fun begins… Watching all the films/videos sent to us from around the world. In past years I was the sole curator for EIC and when someone would ask “have you seen any good movies lately” I’d respond “yeah, 600 great films!”
Twelve years into our festival I am trying out something new this year. That is, for the first time I have assembled a top secret curatorial committee (see pic) whose aesthetic sensibilities I trust 110%. Together we will be making our decisions for the festival and will contact all artists by the middle of February, 2017 (hopefully earlier).
Once our decisions have been made I will release the names of the brave and dedicated curatorial committee. As always, if your work is not chosen to be screened or presented (installations) at Experiments in Cinema, it is most likely that the work is GREAT but we just don’t have the necessary amount of time scheduled to screen it all. Maybe next year we will make Experiments in Cinema a month-long event so we can screen all the terrific works submitted!
